Is a garden shark necessary, for a crisis?

“w

e are not leaving the coalition because of a garden shed!”, With yesterday’s DP party president Corinne Cahen and LSAP vice premier Etienne Schneider driving the spun with CSV. The statement came at the very same juncture where the blacks held a press conference to add to the irregularities of the Ministry of the Environment in the matter just from that shack. The two members of the government fled from the school and clearly understood that the CSV – by personal interposes – was almost on their knees, to leave the government and form a new coalition, but then with the CSV. Along the way, the Conservatives are a bit bloody there. Although they discourage such discussions, the message remains in the public eye: It is not enough for them to come back to power. What has largely gone down, however, is the announcement of Vice Prime Minister Etienne Schneider yesterday in the Luxembourg country, not wanting to complete this legislature period! Just wondering how long he stays in government?

W

hen a minister makes such an announcement abroad, he is usually gone within days. Does this apply to Luxembourg as well? The man is Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Economy since the age of 6, plus a new Minister of Health … and thus alongside the figurehead of the Socialists. “Ten years of ministerial activities are enough”, the man says, which would mean that he would remain in government for almost three years (2012 – 2022). This is unlikely to happen, because a minister who announces that his political stance is no longer correct is a lame duck! This is especially true for his role as vice premier: his Polish weight in the coalition is decreasing; It is therefore quite quickly to be reckoned with Ramouers in the LSAP: who takes over the unimportant positions of Etienne Schneider, and in doing so, who is the next socialist spokesman for the next election?

f

or the Government head, the announcement also means a weakening !. The baptisms of Gambia 1 were now Xavier Bettel, Felix Braz and Etienne Schneider. Felix Braz could not remain Vice-President for the known reasons and had to leave politics altogether; his place as vice premier, François Bausch, who was indirectly linked to the SREL affair and for a while came under heavy political pressure for the “secret casier” affair; Sooner or later, Etienne Schneider will withdraw from the politics, especially the man who counted as the strongest person under Gambia 1 and had a good economic policy.

This announcement comes at a bad glance: the Greens are hooked on the Gaardenhaischen affair – even if it is not quite the big policy – and now the movement is coming! François Bausch talks about a crisis in his own party that, as things evolve, it also crises in the government, without a shit. A government on solid legs all looks different. The Blue can be left as the only government party to look to the future: they still have that opportunity…
