Rainbows and flames! Implications for UK politics

no matter what the climate debate is about: when you see the images from the Amazon, you have a heart, and I can understand the young people knowing that they are on the streets. I wish they had more success than my generation because, as I was between 12 and 20 years old, ZDF read a certain Professor Bernhard Crzimek (Tschimek) once a month his issue “A place for animals” presented and talked about on a regular basis about the abundance of rainforest. That has been around for 45 years, nothing has happened to anything; the forest continues to be hollowed out and burned, in the end, it seems, even more than sos, because of President Bolsonaro!

W ell! My generation has always brought about the birth of ecologists, of ecological movement, of Greenpeace and of green parties. With them, environmental awareness has become significantly greater. But since years – and particularly since young people in the climate go into Macadam, has the impression were between the wishful thinking of the youth and the real politics that had become more and more intense over time.

W ere, for example, the green accents in the last 6 years, so since the beginning of the Triangle Coalition? To summarize it: it made its own climate climate a lot higher, but you never made a single decision to get a double to that goal! Ah! Dach! There was a sudden jump on the excises. What else? Actually nothing! Today, green areas would be just as important today, even in the public climate debate! I can understand, however, that the entire government – and especially the Greens – are shocked by Felix Braz’s heart attack, and yet anyone from the Green Group could take the pencil out to vigorously assert itself per communique on the Brazilian President. That was not the case until Sunday morning, when a CSV tried to force the government to take a political position by asking a parliamentary question.

t was the French President who, with the threat of Summit G-7, threatened to announce the Treaty on Free Trade between the European Union and the Mercosur area (Uruguay, Paraguay, Venezuela, Argentina and Brazil)! What remains to be said about political politics ?! After all, the successful Brazilian president is democratically elected! There is nothing else than putting this man and his government under political pressure.

CSV has therefore made a copy / paste of Macron, with the question to Prime Minister Xavier Bettel: would it not even be appropriate for Luxembourg to carry this treaty on its own for as long as the Brazilian president is ready to to hold on to what has been sacrificed?

Q.P. Mosar Hansen Mercosur 23.08.2019 01

Fortunately, Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn was back from his Tour de France trip and was able to respond promptly: Brazil is wrong! “Asselborn wants to propose to the next Governing Council that will actually treat us with the Mercosur states, but yesterday and the social media commentary is the political rejection of the Greens and it is said, evidently, that the party was vigorously interrupted by the health malady of Felix Braz, nevertheless it was he who made the second edition of the Triangle Coalition possible And so, one should already bring understanding to the party, just as Brazil is now, but aside from the Bolsonaro case, one has the feeling as if the roles in political cinema have been changed: Paul Galles (CSV) goes trees planted, twittered and facebooked that, and far and wide no more ecologists were there to touch a tree!
The CSV organizes a bicycle tour of the country, which has only symbolic character, but one more example shows that the Conservatives have discovered (new) the subject of environmental policy! From the original, so from the green, one has heard nothing in the context of the environment for months!

To my former work colleague Felix Braz, I wish a harsh improvement, his green party, that she will find back to her roots.
