he last day in February was over: Ciphers came out of the Habitat Observatory! And what one always thought was black, white was confirmed. 10 percent of the owners own 60 percent of the total value of all land, which means that we even have 1600 million security. Congratulations! No one wants to take the money away. But the ground is broken, thousands of people wait for an apartment, and so prices go up.
Minister Sam Tanson has finally arrived at the point where many other ministers have landed before her: it must be made less lucrative for people who do not want to build the field. All in once again, the silence: the raising of the basic tax. Anyway, that’s just a joke in Luxembourg, it hasn’t changed with us since the Nazis. Maybe Madame Tanson will continue, who knows ?! Well, I have my arithmetic and political doubts.
First, the righteousness. Between 2010 and 2017, prices of building sites went down

on average each year by 6.1 percent. So if I had a ground for a value of 500,000 euros, I could expect year-over-year with a plus value of 30,500 euros, just speculative, not cash and the bag. That would mean that the fiscal penalties for this field had to be extremely high, perhaps not at 30,000, but at least at 20,000 Euro / year! Don’t forget that it is not the only bombers that want to break the ground for their grandchildren. This is often the case with people with a lot of money who can afford to pay relatively high penalties and speculate on time, still make a profit. There are also other questions: is the land tax generally adapted? If so, how much? And, is it about tax breaks in Broochland about tax penalties? I already hope that there is a difference! After all, it doesn’t have to be endangered, as the LSAP president has to do.
Because of my political doubts:

the land tax is a highly sensitive issue. The owners of a home have long been spared, are heavily indebted and therefore cannot come out on top of such a tax. And in the “thick” owners, it is so that they no longer belong solely to the electorate of DP and CSV, but equally to the LSAP and to the Greens. What party is so bleak and shutting itself off?
Housing is becoming more expensive, as are building. For the good part, this has something to do with the fact that only passive houses can be built. In addition, building a house on your own is almost impossible. Apartments around the 80 square meters that were put in front of the A + Aera have risen by almost 11 percent in the price within a year; the passive apartments (80 square meters), by contrast, are only about 0.6 percent more expensive. Official explanation: because of the much higher price, they are not so sought. What I personally add: many people are skeptical about the passive housing: you want to keep the opportunity, even open a window , when one has a craving for it. And not so many of the new houses who have just now begun to get a greenish color to the facade …

Good news has been the sale of 2846 hectares of agricultural land in Luxembourg. Is it? But that number is now in the ministry’s hands, about where over 300 acres are owned by the public hand and where there are 940 acres of so-called “building gaps”. There is thus the opportunity to build; if nothing or not much happens, it is up to the policy: Quitting goes to the minister! What has been true for the past 20 years cannot be wrong for the future …
